Lawndale is keeping the momentum going! Smith Elementary was named a California Blue Ribbon School, Addams, Anderson, Smith, and Twain were all named 2025 Honor Roll Schools by the Educational Results Partnership, and we are proud to celebrate our very own District Social Worker, Dr. Maria Ruelas, who was recognized as the Los Angeles County Office of Education Social Worker of the Year!

ESMoA is partnering with LESD libraries for STARTlab, a hands-on program celebrating literacy, storytelling, and creativity. Each month, students explore themed art activities, from Dot Day to Día de los Muertos. Families are also invited to enjoy ESMoA’s free, family-friendly exhibits and events.

Farmer Hugo from Old Grove Orange visited Green Elementary and brought a mini market to our school, giving students an exciting, hands-on opportunity to learn about farming.
