Principal's Message

Dear William Green Families,

Hello and welcome to the 2020-21 school year!  I hope all our students and families were able to stay safe and have a relaxing summer.  We are looking forward to seeing our returning students, meeting our new families, and starting a new year of learning and growing together. 

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. My name is Christine Kim and I am the principal of William Green Elementary School. I have deep roots in the Lawndale community. I have worked at various schools and in many positions in Lawndale since 1998. I am very excited to rejoin the William Green community as your principal. I look forward to building new relationships and strengthening existing relationships with the Willam Green families. I look forward to getting to know you, speaking with you, and growing with you. 

As you may have heard all Lawndale schools will be starting the year remotely in Distance Learning.  This means our students will continue to learn from home as we begin the school year. We are committed to supporting our students and families during this time. 

We will be communicating with parents consistently. Please check our website and follow us on facebook and instagram. Additionally, throughout the school year, teachers will be communicating through the ClassDojo app. Here is a list of links to our website, Facebook and Instagram. 

While there may be challenges ahead, I am confident our William Green community will rise to the occasion!

¡Hola y bienvenido al año escolar 2020-21! Espero que todos nuestros estudiantes y familias hayan podido mantenerse seguros y tener un verano relajante. Esperamos ver a nuestros estudiantes, y conocer a nuestras nuevas familias y comenzar un nuevo año de aprendizaje y crecimiento juntos.

Quiero aprovechar esta oportunidad para presentarme a ustedes. Mi nombre es Christine Kim y soy la directora de la Escuela Primaria William Green. Tengo profundas raíces en la comunidad de Lawndale. He trabajado en varias escuelas y en muchos puestos en Lawndale desde 1998. Estoy muy emocionado de volver a unirme a la comunidad de William Green como su directora.
